Well, this was my first proper long holiday in a proper hotel !! I am sixty and can you believe that I've never done it before ?
I have stayed in many a sort of hotel/b n bs/ self catering etc but to have breakfasts and evening meals provided for a whole fortnight was a real treat and definitely a first.
It was great not to have to spend time shopping, cooking and washing up !! I really really hope it's not the last time.
The hotel was mostly full of german tourists and in fact we were the only brits but the staff all spoke amazing english so communication was very easy.
The space seemed a real luxury especially as we were sharing the suite with our youngest daughter Isabel.
Normally, in the caravan, we have to ask her to vacate her sleeping area and pack it all away so we can sit down and have our breakfast !!
This was actually the main reason we chose a large caravan over a small motor home - no daily bed making up and packing away all the bedding etc....
